Hi everyone! My name is Essie Brandon and I am 21 years old. I am a senior at Longwood University located in Farmville, VA. I study Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. For my Digital and Social Media Technology course, I was asked to make a blog about something I am passionate about, so I chose fitness! I am from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was born in Chesterfield, but moved to the beach when I was three years old. Some of my favorite activities to do in Virginia Beach is obviously go to the beach, shop, and try out a lot of the fun restaurants/cafes! I am a big animal lover as well. I have a dog named Josie, and a cat named Archie! I love all types of music and going to concerts. I enjoy eating healthy, home-cooked meals and drinking coffee! During my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and family. Being outdoors and traveling always boosts my serotonin!
Have you ever looked in the mirror and wanted a change? Overall, a happier and healthier you. But you don't know where, or how to start? Being a college student, it can be hard to balance classes and a healthy life style/exercise routine. This blog is based on simple, fun workouts to keep you moving and motivated, even with a busy college life! I am so excited to share my favorite at home workouts, as well as gym workouts with you all. The reason I wanted to start this blog is because I have felt lost at times when it comes to working out, as well as finding the balance between my college studies and fitness. Both are very important to me, so I decided to dedicate and commit my time to both! One thing to realize when it comes to fitness and progress, is that you should never give up on your goals no matter how long they take you. Often times, I have found myself wanting to give up when I was not seeing results fast enough. Do not worry though, that is a natural feeling during all progress and every-one has experienced set-backs, but as I like to call them, “sweat-backs”. To follow this fitness blog, you do not need to be a workout junkie whatsoever! There is also no specific order for these workouts, so do them as you please. Also, if you prefer to do these workouts outside, go ahead, as long as you have the proper equipment when needed! I love doing workouts outside, especially as it gets cooler out. Bring a water, a mat, and some weights for some of the workouts and you are good to go! Remember to keep a positive attitude throughout your fitness journey because it will only help your progress and make this a more fun/exciting routine! Make sure to keep in touch with my blog posts through Twitter and Instagram as well! I hope you all are as excited for this blog as I am!
